Glut Tendinosis and Bursitis of the Hip

Glut tendinopathy is frequently seen in patients with associated hip pathology. Patients normally complain of lateral hip pain. A lot of these patients are misdiagnosed with bursitis. If the patients presents with a torn glut, lost of strength and difficult to ambulate will be also evident.

Chronic tendinopathy are normally treated with PT. Torn glut should be treated with minimally invasive surgery. Patients normally recover very well from surgery allowing them to go back to normal life.
