Rectus Femoris Avulsion

Rectus femoris tendinopathy is normally seen in patients with hip pathology. Avulsion of this tendon can be seen in active patients (sprinter or kickers). Normally patients are treated non-operative. However in cases of avulsion with severe retraction surgery is indicated. Patients will get back to normal activities within 3 months of surgery.
