Stem Cells for Osteoarthritis

Hip osteoarthritis is a prevalent disease. The patients normally complain of limited range of motion, stiffness and pain. Unfortunately, the incidence of this disease increases with age. Young active people over 40 can start to suffer from OA. Depending on the stage of the disease, the patients can be treated with biological therapies including stem cells. For those patients with advanced OA, a total hip replacement or BHR (hip resurfacing) can be indicated.
